Overview

Much likened to the fashionable Pearl District, the Northwest Industrial neighborhood appears to be on the verge of a major transformation. While Northwest Industrial is mostly zoned for heavy industrial use, the Southern portion of the neighborhood is seeing the rise of several glossy new Loft and Condo developments.

The Northwest Industrial neighborhood borders the Linnton and Forest Park areas, and has the smallest residential population of any of the Portland neighborhoods.

Parks & Recreation

Because the Northwest Industrial neighborhood doesn’t have any parks or recreational facilities of its own, residents typically make the short trek up to Forest Park, the 5000-plus acre tract of urban forest featuring miles of groomed and natural trails, streamlets, and natural areas to explore.

Real Estate

Because most of the Northwest Industrial neighborhood is protected for industrial use, few homes are available for purchase within its boundaries. Of the existing properties for sale, most are attractive, newly constructed urban Lofts and Condos.
