North Portland Real Estate

Overview

The North Portland area, sometimes known as NoPo, includes an eclectic mix of residential homes and condos, as well as large warehouses and industrial facilities. The area extends from where the Willamette river bends westward to the confluence with the Columbia river (map). Much of North Portland provides quick access to downtown via the I-5 freeway or the Max light rail line running from Expo center.

Some of the more well known parks in this area include the 23-acre Cathedral Park, which is believed to be one of the original historic Lewis & Clark landing sites, and the 2,000 acre Smith & Bybee Wetlands Natural Area which includes a large lake and diverse wildlife.

Neighborhoods

The district is known as North Portland Neighborhood Services (NPNS) and is comprised of Arbor Lodge, Bridgeton, Cathedral Park, East Columbia, Hayden Island, Kenton, Overlook, Piedmont, Portsmouth, St. Johns, and University Park.
